The artefact presents an heterogeneous epilithic fouling, in which there are numerous specimens of Polychaeta Serpilidae characterised by large and dense calcareous tubes, especially on an external surface and inside the lip. The rest of the surface is heterogeneously covered with other smaller Polychaeta, colonies of Bryozoans, brachiopod shells and remains of bivalve fouling sessile molluscs. There are also tubular pink structures adherent to the substrate, sometimes forming a kind of a net. The presence of Brachiopods indicates that the artefact was in a poorly lit environment, i.e. in deep waters or protected by other structures.
